Global Climate Vulnerable Forum Meeting in Manila

Manila, the Philippines – 9-11 November 2015

The Manila Climate Vulnerable Forum, the CVF’s third full meeting, is jointly hosted by the Philippines Climate Change Commission and Department of Foreign Affairs and will take place in Manila.

Objectives

  • Increased convergence and consensus on core climate change policy concerns shared by highly vulnerable countries worldwide, including vis-à-vis COP21
  • Increased awareness and publicity amplifying the voice and focus on vulnerable countries ahead of COP21
  • Develop and establish clarity on future activities of the CVF through to 2018, and on key administrative matters, including membership, chairmanship and resource mobilization

CVF Member Countries:

Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Nepal, Philippines (host), Saint Lucia, Tanzania, Vanuatu, Vietnam

Observer Countries:

Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Comoros, Dominican Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Fiji, Grenada, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Malawi, Mongolia, Morocco, Myanmar, Niger, Palau, Papau New Guinea, Senegal, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tunisia, Yemen.
