CVF Asia Regional Dialogue

The CVF Regional Dialogue will be co-hosted by the Philippines, and Bangladesh, as CVF Chair, and aims to identify and promote headline climate change policy priorities for vulnerable developing countries of the CVF from the Asia region.

Event description:

 The Dialogue provides an opportunity for Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) member and observer countries of the CVF Asia region to share challenges, successes and experiences in climate change policy, and develop collective policy priorities.

The CVF Asia Regional Dialogue’s outcomes, including a CVF regional communique, will feed into the global deliberations of the CVF ahead of and during the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) and contribute to the development of global momentum for the shared agenda of climate threatened nations throughout 2021.

The Ministerial segment Dialogue is to take place on the 29th of September 2021 at 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm PHST, following a preparatory meeting of experts on the 27th and 28th of September 2021 and a dedicated half-day training for the CVF’s regional members and observers, organized by United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), will be held on the 28th of September 2021 (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm PHST). The Dialogue will be held in a virtual format.

The CVF Asia Regional Dialogue follows the CVF Pacific Regional Dialogue, CVF Africa and Middle East Regional Dialogue, and the Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Dialogue.
